Urban Illustrators clothing store in Atwater celebrated its 2-Year Anniversary on Saturday, May 8th at the Partisan in Merced with performances from Destructo Bunny, the Realistrators, Jfeve & Tha Thurd, D. Dove, Rec League All-Stars, Eru, Jusum One (Grains of Sand), Aswell, Sean B, and D the Emcee.

Canibus came to the Bay on Wednesday, May 12th at the Rockit Room in San Francisco as part of Sellasie’s “We All We Got” concert series. Opening the night was Temujinn, Opey, Silly Mob, and Machetero.

Mystik-Journeymen  (Luckyiam & Sunspot Jonz of Living Legends) on Saturday, May 15th at Urban Illustrators in Atwater and then with Equipto, Bored Stiff, and Z-Man at the Fat Cat in Downtown Modesto

The Bash Bros. (Lefty & Piseas) and Reef the Lost Cauze came to the valley on Sunday, May 23rd at the Underground clothing store on McHenry in Modesto on the Mic Fiends Tour and performed alongside local favorites Jusum One, Cob@lt, and Tronikfuq.

Jeru the Damaja performed  his classic album “The Sun Rises in the East” in its entirety on Tuesday, May 25th at 330 Rich in San Francisco. Staring off the night was DJ Mr. E who spun a tribute to the late Guru of GangStarr.

Nas & Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley got on stage together on Wednesday, May 26th at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz to promote their new album “Distant Relatives.”

Rebel Diaz came all the way from the Bronx on Sunday, June 6th and spit on the mic at Sol Collective in Sacramento. Also performing that night was Kalae All Day, YC the Cynic, Compadre, and Def Eye. Go to http://solcollective.org for more upcoming events.

Brand Nubian continued “The Classic Series” when they performed their full album “One For All” on Tuesday, June 8th at 330 Rich in Frisco. More info can at http://hip-hop.com

Cormega, presented by Sellasie’s  “We All We Got” and Inhouse Talent, was in Frisco on Thursday, June 17th at the Rockit Room along with Tha Jacka, Hard to Stop Ent, D-Varg & Nik-Nak, Ryan the Remedy, and Soul Poet.

Planet Asia, the Fresno native, also came to Frisco on Friday, June 18th with “We All We Got,” and performed at Club Six. Asia rocked the house with Sellassie, Nash Quest, Dark One, Da Trendsettaz, and Treu One. More info on the concert series at http://sellassiefrisco.com

The Grouch gave Modesto some  more Living Legends lovin on Friday, June 18th at the Fat Cat in Downtown Motown when he shared the stage with fellow Bay Areans Equipto & Bored Stiff. The show was presented by Cob@lt and IKON U.R.G.

Gwap City Nights 2 got crackin on Thursday, June 24th at Modesto Virtual, Downtown. Presented by Big Reezy & Benzo the full line-up included Thurm Starz, Jucealini, G-Stone, Pen-Point Ent, Do Durty & more.
